Perfection - In Rags and Rust?

Be careful not to fall into the trap that makes you believe that good advice can only come from those with glitz and glamour. Keep your eyes open for those
teachers that appear in rags and rust.

Today's Gentle Reminder
==========================================================

Our little messes.
Just as we once learned to walk, fall and pick ourselves up again, so too do we need to learn, that it is okay to have to clean up another "mess" in our lives.

Unless we occasionally stepout of our comfort zone we are not really moving forward in life. In trying new things it is most probable that we will create many little "messes" (experiences) along the way.

Don't let mistakes stop you from exploring, just make sure you are on mid-wave when you decide which direction to go.

I believe that part of our learning is to be able to always come back to the middle, back to balance and back to center. I believe life is about learning to come back to faith and away from fear. It does not matter what you have done in the past. It only matters what you will do today to improve yourself and the world around you.

As I took my evening stroll with my dog, I spoke to my dog and said, "Look, look at the beautiful sunset that God has created"....and then I looked at my dog...and I thought, " look...look at what God has created and in that moment, I smiled to myself and looked at myself. "Look I said, what God has created" I knew in that moment that I was exactly what God had intended me to be.

Enjoy the journey, enjoy the exploration and enjoy yourself along the way.

Quote of the month
==========================================================

"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO - what a ride!"

Make the best of your journey!

Sharing time:

I hold your book as a tool, not only for bi-polar, but for everyone. It should be assigned reading in schools and in families because I believe everyone is in some way influenced ... The sooner we give up our denial the better off we will all become. Healing begins with awareness... JB

There are many readers out there that have a great story to tell about how they have handled difficult times or how others have inspired them. Many are working through The Wave Riders steps and improving their lives. We all have our times when we find it difficult and we all have our little successes. Here readers share comments and/or stories that may inspire other readers. This month I wanted to
share a note that I recently received. Thank you for your kind words!
