Article for the month:
Social Anxiety - The Hermit on the Hill

Wave riders (men/women/children with high and low energy states) often have some unique senses and appear to be able to feel the emotions of people around them, even the emotions of people they do not know. This ability has created problems for the unsuspecting wave rider. A wave rider often knows that they have this ability though they do not often identify it as the cause of their social fears...

Today's Gentle Reminder
======================================================

Let's not go into 2004 placing added pressures on ourselves to be
the perfect man or women in human terms. By human terms I mean
let us not allow fashion and social pressures determine who we are.
Instead let us set goals that nurture and support our eternal growth.
Let us set a goal to love who we are today while we stretch and
develop into who we will be tomorrow. Let us appreciate the journey
as much as we appreciate the dreams and let us not race so fast
toward the finish line that we forget to honor and enjoy each step
along the way. Wave riders do not need to be pumped up, they
instead need to learn about baby steps and balance. If you must set
a resolution for this year let us set one that is a commitment to
removing and ending our negativity and replacing that negative
addiction with a balanced center.

Quote of the month
======================================================
...

you can never be happy and dress yourself solely in the glass of
other men's approval...

Nicholas Flood Davis, The Irishman in Canada, p. vii.

May the new year find you more approving of yourself and less willing to base your self-judgement on the views of others.
Indigo.

Storytime:

There are many readers out there that have a great
story to tell. They are working through The Wave Riders steps and
improving their lives. We all have our times when we find it difficult
and we all have our little successes. I want to share our stories in
an upcoming book (submissions will remain anonymous and names
will only be kept to prove authenticity).

Please send me your story...don't worry about grammar or whether
or not you think you are a writer. Just explain what you did to help
yourself and how you used the steps in the book. You could write
about your observations of change in someone you know. I know
that you experience and observations can help others. Let's start
to show how learning that we are gifted and not diseased has
changed our lives!

Please send your story submissions to info@thewaveriders.com or mail into The Wave Riders PO Box 1112, Vernon, BC, Canada, V1T6N4.
Thank you in advance for your participation. You stories are
gratefully accepted. Not all stories will appear in the book.
